To celebrate this momentous occasion, there will be celebrations all over the UK, Commonwealth and around the world. The culmination of these events will be a four day Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend, with street parties and community get togethers and moments of National refection on Queen Elizabeth II 70 years of service.

Platinum Jubilee 2022

So what is happening for the Queen’s Jubilee 2022 ? Thursday 2nd June 2022 – One of the main events will be The Queen’s Birthday Parade ( Trooping The Colour ) This will involve over 1200 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians, all coming together to mark Queen Elizabeth II official Birthday in a traditional parade. This parade will start at Buckingham Palace and be joined by members of The Royal Family, before moving down The Mall towards Horseguards Parade. The Royal Family will travel in carriages and on Horseback. Finishing off the parade will be a traditional fly-past by The Royal Air Force, watched from The Royal Balcony of Buckingham Palace by members of the Royal Family including Her Majesty herself.

Queen's Jubilee 2022 Events

Saturday 4th June 2022 – Platinum Jubilee Party at Buckingham Palace – A very special party will be held at The Palace and be broadcast on the BBC. Some of the worlds biggest stars in entertainment will be on stage to perform and remember the most favourite moments of Her Majesty’s Reign.

Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend – Saturday 4th – 5th June 2022 – Many of you will hopefully be involved in a community street party for the Platinum Jubilee 2022. Since 2009, every year communities have been encouraged to make new connections with each other through an event know as The Big Lunch.! This year 2022, The Big Lunch will be encouraging you to celebrate with your friends and neighbours with everything that Britain has to offer and all part of the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations. Whether it’s a street party, BBQ or tea and cakes in the local community centre, we hope you will show true British party spirit in any way you can.
